Full Time Early Intervention Therapist (EIT)

The Early Intervention Program requires enthusiastic and motivated Full-Time Early Intervention Therapists to join our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct therapy to preschool aged children at the STA classrooms and in the client’s home (currently on hold due to restrictions).  The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills, exceptional time management skills, enjoy working with children, be able to work within a multidisciplinary team and be familiar with Society for Treatment of Autism’s treatment approach and philosophy.

Requirements:

Personal vehicle – Travel and use of personal vehicle is required

Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C

Qualifications:

Diploma and/or B.A. in Psychology or related discipline. Experience working with children an asset.

Part-Time Permanent Morning Wake-Up Staff

Hours of work:

Monday-Friday 6:30 am-9:30 am

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Residential Program Supervisor, the Morning Wake Up staff will implement individualized approved treatment programs in the areas of behaviour management, communication, safety/pre-vocational skills, and daily living skills to individuals with Autism living at the Husky Energy Centre for Autism.

Qualifications:

The successful applicant will have strong skills in the areas of verbal and written communication, motivation, and teamwork.

Enrollment in a Human Services Diploma or Degree from a recognized college or university is preferred. Experience working with children and/or children with disabilities and a current First Aid/CPR certificate are considered to be an asset.
