Part-Time Permanent Morning Wake Up Staff

Hours of work:

Monday-Friday 6:30 am-9:30 am

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Residential Program Supervisor, the Morning Wake Up staff will implement individualized approved treatment programs in the areas of behaviour management, communication, safety/pre-vocational skills, and daily living skills to individuals with Autism living at the Husky Energy Centre for Autism.

Qualifications:

The successful applicant will have strong skills in the areas of verbal and written communication, motivation, and teamwork.

Enrollment in a Human Services Diploma or Degree from a recognized college or university is preferred. Experience working with children and/or children with disabilities and a current First Aid/CPR certificate are considered to be an asset.

Full-Time, Part-time Facilitator Positions

Key Responsibilities:

The Adolescent and Adult Program requires an enthusiastic and motivated Full-Time Facilitator to join our new team! Part-time candidates may be considered. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of multiple clients. They will establish goals and objectives, create client portfolios, support clients within vocational settings (i.e., life skills courses/workshops and on-site programming), and generate visual supports, on community outings and during structured group settings (i.e., therapy groups). The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, exceptional time management skills, be adept at dealing with maladaptive behaviours, be able to work within a multidisciplinary team, and be familiar with Behaviour Modification, activity based teaching, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Travel will be required. Work hours will include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications:

B.A. in Psychology or related discipline or Post Secondary Diploma, a minimum of two years experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Experience with adolescents and adults is preferred.

Full-Time Permanent Behaviour Therapist

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Residential Program Supervisor, the Behaviour Therapist will implement individualized approved treatment programs in the areas of behaviour management, communication, safety/pre-vocational skills, and daily living skills to individuals with Autism living at the Husky Energy Centre for Autism. Also, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining paperwork for assigned client(s).

Qualifications:

The successful applicant will have strong skills in the areas of verbal and written communication, motivation, and teamwork.

Completion of a Human Services Diploma or Degree from a recognized college or university is preferred. Experience working with children and/or children with disabilities and a current First Aid/CPR certificate are considered to be an asset.
